Only approved Head and Assistant coaches will be permitted in the draft.

Pre-Assigned or “Frozen” Players In drafted divisions: 

• Approved Head Coach’s player: When the board has approved a head coach, their eligible player is automatically placed on that team and is counted as that team’s first draft pick.
• Approved Assistant Coaches’ player(s): Head Coaches may pre-select up to two assistant coaches up to 11 p.m. of the night prior to day the tryout. Assistant coaches’ eligible player(s) will be pre assigned (“frozen”) to a team’s roster. The team forfeits their immediate next draft picks for each pre-assigned player. In the event a coach has siblings playing within the same division, the sibling will count as that team’s immediate next pick.

Draft Process

The draft will occur in a reverse snake pattern starting with Round 1. The last team to draw in the first round will select first in the second round etc. This helps even out the player picks.

Balancing by Age Group - All teams will be required to draft, as close as possible, an equal number of ages as each of the other teams. Numbers will be set prior to the draft.

Registered siblings will be identified at the beginning of the draft. The sibling of a draft pick will be placed on the same team as its pick in rounds 7, 9, or 11.

Players not present at the tryout will be assigned randomly (reverse hat pick) to a team until all teams have up to 12 players, at which time no additional sign-ups will be approved for that division. Players signing up after the draft will be assigned to the team next in the draft order until all teams have up to 12 players.
