When a team has less than nine players, a substitute can only be acquired from a league player, one division immediately below and approved by the Division Commissioner or Board Member on duty.

Games will start as long as each team has a minimum of seven players. When players arrive, they will be added to the end of the batting order. If a team has less than nine players and the batting position is missing a player, the opposing team has the option to enforce the automatic out or allow to skip the batting position with no out taken. This decision must be made before the game begins and may not be changed during the game. If not disclosed before the start of the game, the auto out will be enforced.
