End of Season Tournament

End of Season Tournament

Regular season standings will be kept for the PeeWee 7 through Major divisions. The regular season standings will determine the end of season tournament seeding. In the case of a tie in the regular season standings the following tie-breaker rules will be used:

  1. Overall Division Record
  2. Head-to-head competition*
  3. Total Runs allowed
  4. Total Runs scored
  5. Coin Flip

*Only to be used in breaking a tie between two teams. If more than two teams are tied, tie-breaker #2 will be skipped and tie-breaker #3 will be used.

The highest seed will be the home team if the higher seed remains in the championship bracket. If the higher seed is coming through the consolation bracket the home team will be awarded to the championship bracket team. If a second championship game is necessary, the highest seeded team will be the home team.

All tournament games, except the championship game, will follow West Jordan Copper Hills Baseball time limit rules.

All Championship games during the tournament will be a full regulation game by the number of innings specified per division or time limit specified below:

  • PeeWee 7 and PeeWee 8 – five innings, with a drop-dead time of 2 hours
  • Minor and Major – six innings

The end of season tournament will be the following for each division:

  • PeeWee 7 – Single Elimination
  • PeeWee 8 – Single Elimination
  • Minor – Double Elimination**
  • Major – Double Elimination**

**The end of season tournament may be reduced from Double to Single elimination at the League’s discretion based on scheduling constraints.

Pitching – The End-of- Season Tournament will use pitch count rules and will be enforced starting with each team’s first game of the End-of-Season Tournament. The pitch counts will NOT reset following each team’s final game of the regular season.

First and second place teams will be recognized on the field following the Championship game.

The first and second place teams from the End-of-Season tournament will represent West Jordan Copper Hills Baseball in the Wasatch Baseball Leagues’ Wasatch Walk-off Tournament. They will compete against the first and second place teams from the other Wasatch Baseball Leagues. This tournament will be held in mid-June, specific dates to be set by the Wasatch Baseball Leagues Board of Directors.
